NO HOUSEHOLD TRASH; YOU MUST CONTRACT WITH YOUR OWN VENDOR FOR HOUSEHOLD TRASH PICK-UP.
The Public Works Department provides the following services:
Spring Clean Up - May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 2008
Recycling Center - Drop off center is located at the Public Works Recycling center in back of the Municipal Building
Effective immediately: the gate for bulk trash and brush items will only be open on Saturdays from 9:am to 1:pm
All other recyclable items are on a normal schedule.
HOURS
Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
(Closed Sunday & Holidays)
Newspapers: Leave in trailer, must be tied. Bagged or boxed newspapers are not acceptable.
Glass-Tin Cans - Plastic: Commingle all these items and place in proper dumpster. glass, all colors - No Light Bulbs or Window Glass. Plastic - beverage and laundry containers. Tin cans - food and beverage only. Cans should be rinsed. Labels do not have to be removed.
Aluminum Cans: These are cans that a magnet WILL NOT stick to. Pie plates are acceptable.
Mixed Paper: Commingle office and computer paper. Shiny newspaper inserts and magazines.
Motor Oil: Motor oil is accepted on SATURDAY ONLY! Oil must be not be contaminated with water, gas, antifreeze, or any other chemicals.
White Goods: White goods are acceptable any time during recycling hours. If assistance is needed for unloading, one-day's notice is required.
NO ITEMS THAT CONTAIN REFRIGERANT (FREON) such as air conditioners and refrigerators.
Cardboard: Cardboard is to be placed in the designated trailer. Boxes must be broken down flat and large boxes cut up.
Leaves and Branches:
Brush Items - Saturday ONLY. No Grass or Leaves
Used Clothing: Place in AMVETS container.
Household and Automobile Batteries: All batteries any size and type are accepted.
