Tree Care and Culture is an important environmental subject, especially in Upper Freehold Township where there are many wooded areas, both public and private. Above are several helpful resources that will aid the property owner in properly caring for the trees on that owner's property. Whether along a public right-of-way, or on your property, trees can be both a soothing and restful respite for the eye as well as a menace to body and property. If you see an obviously diseased, damaged, or standing dead tree which you think might cause damage or injury to a person, structure, or other property, please make note of its location and let the Township's Department of Public Works know about it (Wayne Golden - Acting Principal Public Works Manager: Phone: 609-758-7715 Fax: 609-758-5592). If the tree appears to have any likely involvement with either the electric power lines, telephone, or cable services on poles, please call the power company to advise as they can dispatch a pruning crew to mitigate potential damage to their lines and anything below their lines to the ground. |
